 WOF OF THE WEEK

WOF stands for Waste of Film

THE BLACK DAHLIA is this week's WOF.  What a Piece of Crap!  Directed by Brian DePalma, this film stars Josh Hartnett, Scarlett Johansson, Hilary Swank and Aaron Eckhart.  This melodrama is an adaptation of James Ellroy's novel about two 1940s L.A. cops who head up the hunt for the killer of starlet Elizabeth Short.

Sallie Says: "The Black Dahlia completely ruined my evening and Brian DePalma owes me $10.75 plus popcorn and candy money.  If you see it, you'll be sorry."

 WEEKLY RENTAL RECOMMENDATION

HARD CANDY  Pick this one up over the weekend and you will certainly be entertained.  This film features Patrick Wilson and Ellen Page in a twisted version of "Little Red Riding Hood" directed by David Slade and written by Brian Nelson.  This film is about a mature 14-year old girl (Ellen Page) who meets a charming 32-year old photographer (Patrick Wilson) on the Internet. Suspecting that he is a pedophile, she goes to his home in an attempt to expose him.

Sallie Says: "Ellen Page is so good she makes you ask yourself why you wasted so much time and money on films with Scarlett Johansson."

Sharita Says: "Now that's a movie! From beginning to end Brilliant!"
